Create your community website
Every community gets its own public website, and this is where you start one. Creating the site gives you a blank Home page you can build on and, when you're ready, share with the world. It only takes one click to get going.
Before you begin
A few things worth knowing up front:
- Each community has one website. You don't create separate sites — you build out pages within the single one.
- Only community owners and admins can create and edit the website, from the orange platform panel. Managers and agents can't.
- A new site starts as a Draft, which means it's invisible to the public until you decide to go live.
Create your website
- Open the Website section in the platform panel.
- If your community doesn't have a site yet, you'll see a No website yet card. Click Create website to start a blank site.
- The site is created with a single Home page and set to Draft status.
That's it — your website now exists. From here you'll add pages and content, then publish when it looks right.
Start from an existing website instead
If your community already has a site elsewhere, you can seed the new one from it rather than starting blank. Choose Import from a website and point it at the existing URL — it pulls in a starting point you can then edit and refine like any other site. You'll still review everything and publish it yourself.
What happens next
Creating the site is step one. To turn the blank Home page into a real website:
- Open the builder — see Open the website editor.
- Add and arrange your content — see Add and arrange blocks.
- When it's ready, make it public — see Take your website live.
Until you publish, the site stays in Draft and no one outside your team can see it, so you can take your time getting it right.
Troubleshooting
I don't see a Create website button
You may already have a site — there's only one per community, so once it exists the Create website option is replaced by your site's overview (status, public URL, and editing tools). If you still don't see it, confirm you're signed in as a community owner or admin; managers and agents can't create or edit the website.
My new site isn't showing up online
That's expected. A freshly created site starts as a Draft and stays private until you go live. Follow Take your website live when you're ready to publish.
