Where enquiries from your site go

Read this before you rely on your site to bring you business. Enquiries from a personal site are routed in two different ways, and only one of them lands with you.

Property enquiries

When a visitor opens one of your listings and enquires from that property's page, the enquiry goes to the agent who owns that listing.

  • If it's your listing, it reaches you, and you'll find it in Leads Inbox in the sidebar.
  • If your Listings block is set to All community inventory, most of the properties on your site belong to colleagues — and those enquiries go to them, not to you.

If your site is meant to generate your own business, set the Listings block to My listings. See [Show your listings](show-your-listings).

General contact-form messages

A Lead form or Contact section placed on one of your pages behaves differently. Those messages are recorded as community enquiries and notify your community's owners and admins — they do not appear in your Leads Inbox.

So if you add a "get in touch" form to your home page and wait for it to show up under Leads Inbox, you'll be waiting for something that isn't coming.

This is a known gap and we're working on it. Until it's fixed, here's what to do.

What to do in the meantime

Pick whichever suits you:

  • Put your own contact details on the page. A phone number and email address in a Text or Contact section reach you directly and can't be misrouted. This is the reliable option.
  • Lean on property enquiries. Set Listings to My listings and let the individual property pages do the work — those do route to you.
  • Agree a hand-off with your community admin. They receive the form messages, so ask them to forward anything that came from your address.

How to tell where a message came from

Enquiries record which page produced them, so your community admin can see that a message arrived from `/a/your-handle`. If you've agreed a hand-off, that's what lets them spot yours.
